PokeFinder has the ability to set up profiles for each of your individual saves. By setting up a profile for a save, you can have information such as TID/SID readily available for seed searching. This is useful because you only need to input save specific information once, and then it's available every time you relaunch PokeFinder.
Open PokeFinder and click on "Gen 4 Tools" then "Profile Manager".
Click on "New" in the Profile section, then fill in your details like TID, SID, and the game version you are using.
This will only have to be done once for each profile you set up.

If you only have one profile set up then it will be chosen by default. For most RNG processes, you will begin with the "Searcher" tab to find an initial seed, and then use the "Generator" tab with the initial seed found to RNG the Pokemon.
